Sony have
lifted the lid on their upcoming Vegas Pro 10 software.
The new edition of Vegas will be available in 32- and 64-bit
formats, and both are going to include native S3D tools. The new
features will allow users to import, edit, preview, adjust and
export stereoscopic projects without the need for any extra
plug-ins or add-ons - the programme should work with 3D footage as
easily as it does with 2D.
Sony say they'll be supporting anaglyph viewing (presumably so
you can preview your footage on any screen), but will also be
supporting 3D monitors.
In addition to supporting S3D, the new Vegas will sport improved
close-captioning features (including Line 21 and HD-SDI closed
captioning) and better effects support for both video and
audio.
