Back in April, Panasonic wowed everyone at the NAB show
with the AG-3DA1, their first fully-integrated,
professional-quality, HD 3D camcorder, which is due to hit shelves
soon. Now, they've announced that they're teaming up with Cineform
to offer users an even simpler 3D workflow.
The AG-3DA1 records left and right eye footage to two separate
SDHC/SD memory cards. Thanks to CineForm's Firstlight converter
(part of their Neo3D system), you'll be able to
batch convert both sets of footage into CineForm files
simultaneously, then merge them into a single CineForm 3D file in
faster than realtime.
The converted files keep their original metadata (including
timecode) and are immediately ready for editing in your NLE of
choice, be it Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or Media Composer 5.
